The goal is not to change the behavior, but to grasp the opportunity to connect, rebalance and receive the beautiful message that behavior is holding for you. When the lesson is learned, the teacher is no longer necessary.

The Hummingbird is a remarkable creature. When not asleep, they hardly ever stop to rest, much like a busy parent! If you look at their body structure, the size of their bodies compared to the size of their wings, a hummingbird being able to fly would seem to be aerodynamically impossible.” Yet, they can fly in all directions – even backwards. Their wings beat from 720 to 5400 times per minute. Hummingbirds are messengers of joy, love and good luck. This mighty little bird is also a symbol of beauty, playfulness, and resilience. The hummingbird is a perfect representation of the conscious parent of today.

Conscious parenting is a new way of viewing the parent-child relationship from a “conscious” perspective. Old styles of parenting don’t “work” on the children of today. We are being called to awaken and start seeing our role as parents differently. After all, insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. A problem can’t be solved with the same level of thinking that created it, so it is time to start thinking differently.
